About Us

JTS Farmstore was established June 01, 1998 when owners Jim & Lea Ann Schrader decided to begin a new chapter in their lives. Jim grew up in southern Idaho on his family's farm learning the daily operations.

After high school he completed the welding program at Boise State University and went onto incorporate this trade into his career. In 1990 Jim chose to move his family back to Idaho and join his father in farming again.

Jim managed the family farm as well as beginning his own farm with his wife, JTS Farms. Jim loved everything to do with farming from planting the crops to harvest. When his father decided to retire in 1998, Jim and Lea Ann made the decision to change their course and buy the local farm store which still allowed them to work in agriculture.

JTS Farmstore expanded on what was being offered to the agricultural community as well as the local area. JTS became a member of Point S which has many stores located in the northwest. This allowed JTS to become a Goodyear & Kelly tire dealer and offer many other name brand tires and automotive parts, supplies and services.

JTS still continued to carry the staple items of the farm store such as hardware, fencing, animal supplies and lawn & garden.

JTS had an increasing need for irrigation parts and services due to their reliability and quality of services being offered to their customers. Jim's knowledge of farming and irrigation led him to designing and installing agricultural pump stations and irrigation systems. In 2000, JTS Farmstore became a Valley Pivot dealer.

Thru the years of being a Valley pivot dealer with their knowledge and experience JTS gained recognition as a Performance Plus dealer. This award is offered to Valley dealers that excel in all areas of sales, parts and services. Each year JTS continues to grow and expand on the products and services that can be offered to their customers.

JTS has many key employees that have been apart of their team for over ten years. Their experience, knowledge and relationships with the customers they serve are vital factors to their success. JTS Farmstore celebrated 20 years of being in business in 2018.

Hard work, dedication and the belief that the agricultural community is the back bone of our nation has driven Jim, Lea Ann and the entire JTS crew to proudly work for today's farming and ranching communities.
